Chip Duncan
Award-winning filmmaker Chip Duncan has written, produced, and directed more than 40 long-form documentaries for international broadcast. With distribution in more than 140 countries, Duncan’s films have won more than 130 national and international awards, have been featured in numerous festivals, and have appeared in prime time broadcasts on PBS, HBO, Sundance, and Discovery Networks.
Duncan’s work as a still photographer has been featured in exhibitions such as the World Peace Festival (Berlin), the Council on Foreign Relations (NYC), the O Street Museum (Washington, DC), and the Kenosha Public Museum in southeast Wisconsin. Duncan’s books include Enough To Go Around – Searching for Hope in Afghanistan, Pakistan & Darfur (Select Books, NYC, 2009) and Half A Reason To Die (Select Books, NYC, 2017). Duncan’s recent documentary production of THE SOUND MAN received international acclaim from the Association of International Broadcasters and was featured at more than a dozen festivals in the US, including Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Nashville, New Orleans, Milwaukee, and the United Nations Film Festival, among others.
Duncan served for seven years on the board of Relief International (RI.org) and is currently a trustee for the Loisaba Community Conservation Foundation and the Juneau Icefield Research Foundation. Duncan is also a global advisor for the America’s Black Holocaust Museum.
