Despite being the world’s number one copper producer, Zambia is ranked as one of the bottom 20 poorest countries. They are wealthy, yet poor. In Zambia we look at the mining industry and what really went wrong. Today, almost all the copper mines in Zambia are owned by multi-national corporations.
